Warehouse Support Clerk

Position Title: Warehouse Support Clerk 

Department: Warehouse 

Supervisor: Warehouse Superintendent  

Location: Athens, AL 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Coordinate and plan cycle counts of all warehouse inventory regularly  
  • Collect invoices and issue purchase orders daily 
  • Receive and verify material quantities upon delivery  
  • Identify shortage or overage of shipments and notify warehouse superintendent  Conduct price checks for all purchases prior to final authorization  
  • Review and order tools and materials based on minimum inventory levels  
  • Evaluate new job cost codes as they go active for inventory requirements and communicate with the  project manager for order approval  
  • Manage non-consumable check in/out list for return dates and contact appropriate personnel to  return items as needed  
  • File all warranty information on all tools and equipment purchased through the warehouse  Receive, count, and record deliveries to the warehouse  
  • Document outgoing tools and materials via inventory software  
  • Deliver products, supplies, equipment, or tools to job sites if needed  
  • Keep work area and warehouse organized and clean at all times 
  • Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foremen, Superintendents, and other co-workers at  all times 
  • Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks 
  • Perform other duties as assigned  

Job Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of inventory management experience  
  • High School Diploma or GED  
  • Ability to understand written material and basic math skills  
  • Knowledge of small equipment, power tools, and hand tools 
  • Extensive computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and various  inventory software programs 
  • Ability to use various iPad applications  
  • Ability to communicate and convey information effectively and professionally  Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 50 pounds Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment  
  • Exceptional organizational skills  
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and enforcement  
  • Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge  
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required 
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record  
  • Work weekends as needed 
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
